Tankless Water Heaters
Are you looking to upgrade your water heater? Is it making noises? Is your water getting as hot as you’d like? Is your water not getting hot as quickly as it once did? Maybe you’re simply just tired of having to take cold showers. Whatever the reason may be, consider replacing your current water heater with a tankless water heater.
Johns Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning has partnered with industry leader Rinnai to offer both our commercial and residential plumbing customers high-quality tankless water heaters that offer continuous hot water that’s clean and fresh.
How does a tankless water heater work?
When you turn your faucet to “hot”, cold water from your home’s point of entry flows into the bottom of the heater. A flame is then ignited and the water passes through a stainless steel heat exchanger, and the preheated water flows through your pipes and into your shower, appliances, or faucets. When you no longer need the hot water, the flame is extinguished and cold water stops flowing into the heater.
How is it different from a tank water heater?
A traditional tank water heater keeps large amounts of water constantly heated in the tank ready and waiting for when you need it for showers, washing dishes, and cleaning your clothes. Because the water must remain heated in the large tank (instead of on-demand heating that tankless heaters offer) you never know how fresh your water is. A tank water heater also takes more energy to keep the water hot. Tank heaters are cumbersome and can take up as much room as a linen closet.
Here are just a few benefits of a tankless water heater:
- Endless hot water - Tankless hot water heaters don’t require a heat-up period like traditional tank water heaters. That means everyone in your family can take as long as they want in the shower. There will still be plenty of hot water. You'll be able to do as many loads of laundry back-to-back without waiting for more hot water to be ready.
- More space in your home - Rinnai tankless water heaters are about the size of a carry-on suitcase. The reduced size offers you more flexible installation options like the laundry room, coat closet, or even a location outside your home.
- Save energy and money - Because they use up to 40% less energy than traditional tank water heaters, Rinnai tankless models can save money on your utility bills and help reduce environmental impact by avoiding wasted water.
- Added value and longetivity - On average, tankless water heaters from Rinnai have been proven to last nearly twice as long as even the best tank water heaters on the market today.
